We got our family photos done in November by the talented Nicole Ostropolec of Nicole Leigh Photography. I had been following Nicole on Instagram and when she announced that she would be doing Tree Farm Mini’s I signed up right away, these photos would be perfect for our Christmas cards! I love getting family photos done, and especially with how fast Cici is changing I want to try and get photos done every year.
I didn’t really have a plan on what we were going to wear but I just wanted to look cozy! I’m usually the type of person who has everything picked out and organized in advance, but I didn’t feel stressed about our outfits or how C would behave. I think this whole motherhood thing is teaching me to sort of live in the moment, and not stress so much about having everything planned to a T. Don’t get me wrong though, I do prefer to be organized and have some what of a plan . I sort of pulled some clothes out and tried on some options for myself and Steele the day before. Cici’s outfit was the only one that I put more thought into, and even with that I didn’t know what I was putting under her cardigan until that morning – thank goodness I did neutrals!
We had our photos taken at the sweetest little tree farm located in Chatham, ON (Watson’s Christmas Trees). Nicole had been concerned with the weather since they had called for rain, but it ended up being a perfect morning. Nicole was so prepared, she had bubbles and toys to keep Cici distracted and happy, and I couldn’t believe how fast and how smoothly the session went.
I couldn’t wait to get our sneak peeks and Nicole didn’t disappoint! She had them to us the next day and the rest came shortly after. I was so, so happy with how they all turned out! We had so many great options for our Christmas card and I’m so excited to enlarge and print off a few for around the house.
I’ve linked all the pieces I could or similar ones, a lot of the pieces are older so it’s not available anymore.
